What an absolute joke. This will be such a disservice for 9 and 10 year olds. My sons team won states last year for 10AA of full size ice.

Let the kids play full ice learn the rules & push to their full potential. Why hold them back to this baby cross ice garbage hockey. No positions no passing no off side ? Come on!

I don’t believe this will help development, this isn’t the same sport if you shrink the team and the ice.

This is ridiculous- let the kids play full ice- it’s not hurting anyone and forcing them to play half ice is limiting their development.

They need to be on equal terms with all their competitors. Almost the same as giving participation ribbons to everyone. If the Russians are skating full ice then we need to be skating full ice!

Leave it full ice for these kids. It'll help their development in hockey

This is crazy and unfair.. these kids are way too big for half ice. Every other state will progress and you’re going to hold them back.

Please leave the squirts as they are with full ice.

This is so stupid. Playing 5 on 5 at a young age was critical for my development and helped me play NCAA ice hockey.

10 players need to do full ice as some of them are nearly 5 feet tall and need the full ice to stretch out and get full speed. Also learning systems and offsides is beneficial to develop hockey IQ when they’re young so that when they’re older, it becomes a second nature.

They are too old to be on 1/2 ice!

Implementation of this new format would be extremely detrimental to the development of young players and put California hockey bringing up the rear yet again
