I have been reading through the messages you all shared about the strain of these bills and the stories are truly heartbreaking. It is becoming clear that this is a much larger struggle than I imagined when I pressed send on this. Thank you for continuing to show that we are not alone in this fight.

its bull they charge u 10.00 to read electric then in same day and time they charge 10.00 t read gas meter so 20.00 in oneday plus high bills
I had to keep my house ice cold in the winter and hot in the summer and the utility bill was still higher than my rent! I moved to another city with a much higher rent, but still saved money due to utilities not being so high.
I work in this community and consistently hear from my patients of exorbitant utility bills. Most have minimal paid wages and have to drive several miles to & from work. The population has drastically decreased DUH !
I had CPU in my first house, that was one of the best benefits of moving. no gas, no CPU bills!!! And there was a time they would not accept LIHEAP.
my utility bill is OUTRAGEOUS every month! definitely a contributing factor to me relocating!
This has gone on too long, our pockets shouldn't be raped by CPU when we have other expenses to pay, but this bill is always the highest and full of surprises smh,
Lord have mercy on our town.

I am on a fixed income and between 20.00 for metr reading and the price of bill I can barely do it this has to stop
