Tell Premier Dalton McGuinty we need buffer zones between people and gas-fired power plants. All over Ontario, fossil-fuel burning plants are being built to supply power when solar power and windmills just aren’t enough. Remarkably, Ontario doesn’t have regulations which would keep those plants from being built right next door to homes, schools and businesses. C4CA thinks this is unsafe because despite the best intentions, accidents happen, people make mistakes and equipment fails – and things explode. Sign the C4CA petition to tell Dalton McGuinty to make buffer zones happen now, before it’s too late.
My kids go to school right down the road from one of these plants. It keeps me up at night honestly. Why would they put something so dangerous so close to our houses?
