By signing this petition, I support: A. A uniformly inclusive or exclusive policy supporting or prohibiting the distribution of ALL religious materials, from ALL religious organizations, through the BWDSB system, with no exceptions for any particular religious organization. B. That the BWDSB will NOT fund the expense of the distribution of permission slips required for distribution, nor the associated labour/material expenses. This petition supports a policy that would see religious organizations wishing to distribute material through the school system pay the cost of permission slips (printing & material) plus a fee to cover handling and distribution, to be decided by the BWDSB, with no exceptions for any particular religious organization. Current student enrollment (as of Oct 2011) is 16,916 students. The cost of photocopying in our schools is approximately 5 cents per copy. The labour cost is also dependent on the number of students and if parents are timely in getting permission forms back to the school etc. The labour estimation would vary due to "who does the task" of photocopying, distributing, collection of the permission forms, and supervision of students while on school property.
