Help Make Our Morning Routine Safer Move Route17 Stop 9 Back to Curtis/Davis This petition is to move Route 17 Stop 9 at 5:15am back to Curtis/Davis. It is presently at Davis/Ruthrauff. Many people in the surrounding area of Curtis/Davis utilize route 17 as our only way to the city of Tucson. Over a dozen people, some being mothers with small children, will aboard Route17 at 5:15am to begin their routine. Others will walk a mile or more just to reach Curtis/Davis. Since they have moved the official stop from Curtis/Davis to Davis/Ruthrauff we are left feeling the new first stop is dangerous at the least. It’s an extra mile from Curtis/Davis to Davis/Ruthrauff. There are no side walks or lights on the walk down Davis to Ruthrauff. Not to mention, there is no bench or cover at Davis/Ruthrauff. We have hundreds of houses surrounding Curtis and Davis. The new stop is leaving many without a way to go that early in the morning or a dangerous journey to get to get there.
