Dear Board of education,
We the students of Borrego Springs High School petition to the Borrego Springs Unified School District to renew Dr. Elizabeth Stephens' position at Borrego Springs High School for the year of 2017-2018.
Dr. Elizabeth Stephens has always taken the time to help students take the courses that they need in order to graduate successfully. She has provided many opportunities for students when the school didn't. She has also organized many college campus tours and leadership conferences. Dr. Stephens is a really big help, especially to the graduationg class of 2017.
We demand that the Borrego Springs Unified School District renew her postion for the school year of 2017-2018.

A counselor from Borrego has never been as helpful Dr. Stephens. She opens up doors for all students, encourages them to strive for success, and makes everyone feel like they can/should reach for the stars.
You don't know if she does or doesn't do you? And she is a counselor and has a PHD for crying out loud. Teaching credential or not she knows exactly what she is doing and has the highest education in the district and cares the MOST about her students.
Dra Stephens es una gran consejera para nuestros jóvenes estudiantes; la necesitan y nosotros como padres también, porque nos tiene informados de todo lo que se ofrece para cada grado. Los estudiantes la necesitan.
Dr. Stephens is the ONLY one who actually cares for students to have a successful life. Whether you are going to college or having a job right after high school, SHE CARES! She has helped me in so many ways with college applications. She's helped more than anyone combined at this school district. She does not see us as dollar sign, like other teachers and staff who do. Do not let someone go just because they have to high of a degree and cannot afford to pay her.
If she's helping my daughter while I'm not there, she helping me. Thank you Dr. Elizabeth Stephens!!!!!!!!!!!
In hopes that the school will correct their mistakes, retain those who are deemed qualified for the positions and let go of those who are futile.

Dr. Stephens is one of the few faculty in BSDUSD who is interested in providing the resources for high school students to pursue a degree. It would be a loss for the school and for the students to let Dr. Stephens go.
