1. Hold people accountable. Stop ending events due to the actions of the select few. We are required to purchase security for the events we have, and if these TRAINED police officers cannot break up a fight, and arrest and charge the assailants, there is no reason to have them in the 1st place. When there are fights the people involved need to be arrested and charged, regardless of social status to protect the overall populace, and protect the investment of time, money, and energy that has gone into the planning and execution of the events. The students and attendees deserve better and this is the time to demand it. No event should ever be shut down due to isolated incidents, especially when there are PAID police officers that are paid to handle situations like this. 2. In the event that a paid event, by which security is paid for is shut down due to a fight or an event of close nature the attendees are to be given a refund. These events would not happen without the attendees, and it is time to protect the investment they make into the event, because in the end everyone gets paid, but the people that supported the event get SHORTCHANGED! This is not fair! We live in a country of “You get what you pay for “ , and We the students who fund these events, and are the primary supporters of them deserve what we pay for! Pass this around! This is only the beginning. “I’m mad as Hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore”, and this is our time to stand, and make the change happen that we want to see.
