This a call to action! There are injustices happening on our campus and we are going to show the administration that the students will not stand for it! In light of the recent attention that Suffolk has gotten regarding the blog post from a fellow undergraduate sociology student, we, as student body members, have decided that it is time for us to stand up and speak up. Incidents similar to the one described in the post happen at Suffolk every single day to students with a large range of marginalized identities. This is not a matter of one student and one professor, this is a systematic and institutional fault. To show the administration that the attendees of this university will not put up with this system of discrimination, we have put together a list of demands that we expect the administration to review and accept in order to create the tolerant learning space that we all deserve. The demands have been posted to our website, and can be signed to show that Suffolk community members are standing with these changes.
