1) This policy is a scapegoat method for Bryan Station's issues with academic achievement. It prevents the leadership of Fayette County Schools from addressing the real conflicts with academic achievement. It is a gross oversimplification. 2) This policy is targeted only at Bryan Station. This is an enormous inconsistency in Fayette County School policy. 3) Bryan Station will only succeed in the acknowledgment and appropriate action towards the social economic conditions of the community it exists. This policy clearly inhibits effective action for Bryan Station's progression towards higher test scores and stronger academic rigor due to the fact it is excluding key visual learning methods. 4) The signer understands the unproductiveness of "coloring" but fundamentally disagrees with the policy's hinderance on projects of higher learning such as illustrated time lines, geometric illustrations, and much more. In conclusion, it is the strongest concern that the blanket policy be removed and replaced with an alternative that adequately addresses Bryan Station High School's legitimate issues.

total joke. fixing test scores by banning crayons? focus on the actual problems instead of worrying about colored wax. let the kids work

My son is in honors art and this is just plain stupid. You cant expect kids to do complex geometry or history projects with just a pencil. High schoolers need to be able to use color for their work.
