To establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. I was looking at the total earlier and we are creeping up on the 250 mark which feels like a real turning point for us to finally get the county to listen. My own dog has been barking at the door all morning wanting to go out so maybe just grab a neighbor or a friend today and get them to add their name because we need to hit this goal before the next meeting happens.

I just saw the number hit triple digits and honestly it feels surreal because I was worried nobody else wanted a space for the dogs to run around here. It is just so nice to know I am not the only one thinking about this since my dog is always staring at me like he wants to go outside and sprint for an hour.

Dogs need to be socialized and exercised as a part of keeping them healthy. Please help us do our part in keeping them happy and healthy!

Can we PLEASE get a dog park in Leland? Driving to Wilmington is ridiculous especially with all the construction sites and traffic we have to go through just to get to the bridge! We should have one in our own community!!!!! Show you care about our canine citizens and their owner's sanity!

My golden retriever has way to much energy and nowhere to go around here. We really need somewhere close to run off the leash.

LELAND NEEDS THIS NOW. Tired of driving all the way to town just to let the pups run around for twenty minutes.
