We are residents of the wonderful city of Nowthen, MN. One of the few drawbacks in this great town (with a population of about 4,500) is the spotty coverage of broadband internet. Some ares have no coverage and other areas have slow or unreliable coverage. Nowthen is sandwiched in between three cities (Elk River, Zimmerman and St. Francis), that all have good access and options. It is unfortunate that so many people in Nowthen do not have the same broadband opportunities. The purpose of this petition is to make the nearby broadband providers and our legislators aware of the situation. There is a very strong demand in the area for it to be improved as soon as possible. We all hope that 2016 will finally be the year that it happens!

Multiple users crash our current wifi frequently. 2 users is pushing it some days. Movies crash when streaming Netflex or Amazon. They use to reimburse us for the disconnect until they learned it was on our side. So we pay for movies/memberships we can't use. It's time to upgrade.
We have been trying to get internet for two years!!! Told the grid is full..our neighbors have it..so beyond frustrating!!!!! Been in tears over it! It's 2016 and we are forced to have to have Internet. We are paying ridiculous amount of money per month for a hotspot...
We definitely need broadband coverage in Nowthen. This drastically affects the ability for my children to do the work required for school! This city is in Anoka county - far less rural than my cabin in NW Wisconsin that has far better broadband coverage. Please bring Nowthen into the 21st century.
I've written the governor, our state and national representatives, and Century Link on this issue. I will gladly share the letter template with anyone who wants to send a letter themselves.
This has been a long time coming, it's hard for those with kids in school & parents going back to school. Not to mention satellite is unreliable when the weather changes.
We don't have access to anything high speed. It all has to go through satellite, which is unreliable.
Moved here in 2016. Very discouraged with internet access here in Nowthen.

I work from home frequently and the Internet is so slow. This can make working challenging. We have been traveling these last few days and I have been working remotely out of hotel rooms. I can't believe how fast the Internet service is and loath going back to our extremely slow service. Looking forward to the day that this is not the case. Thank you.
