While I'm not currently a member, having moved out-of-state last year, I was a LTF member for many, many years and have seen many GMs come & go. Ray was the absolute FIRST GM I ever knew by sight, let alone by name. There are so many wonderful things I could say about Ray, but the one thing that stands out is the man's true dedication to the club & all of its members. I'm appalled to think that LTF is letting him go. I have seen LTF do this before to wonderful, dedicated employees and am appalled by the practice of such a nice club.

Member since day one. No GM has ever come close to the dedicated quality Ray brought to the position. He's a natural and an asset to the club. Get Ray back before another club grabs him and members resign to follow him.

Out of the years of me working at lifetime in Algonquin he is the only Decent general manager they gifted us, he replaced a long streak of not so good GMS and he turned our whole club around! He made lifetime Friendly and inviting, he was fun and innovative, and most of all he made it welcoming for family's and a safe environment while going above and beyond his duties as a General Manager. I moved to Cali and left lifetime recently, going back home to the Algonquin club will never be the same with our rays warm, bright and welcoming hello. His smile that spr ads through our club, the man everyone knows, and the man who saved lifetime Algonquin from no GM and such a low numbers and low clubs interest time. From his first day I already knew he was the perfect fit for our club

Best GM we have EVER had, and I've been with Life Time since day one. All the rest don't even come a close second.

Probably the worst thing that lifetime could ever do was fire Ray what a great guy involved with the clients... he got to know pretty much everybody and anybody personally.... and just for the fact that he got fired I'm thinking about quitting Lifetime and going to another gym... you're the best Ray get ahold of me if you can I lost your number

Great GM. He walked the floor, cleaned and always made himself available to the guests.

What can't you say about Ray? Attentive, helpful, knew everyone. The entire club attitude changed when he took the reigns. He was present and listened. I'd often see him cleaning equipment, walking the floor, checking out group fitness classes. He cared about members and team members. Bring him back!

I love ray and always see him doing various jobs at lifetime - picking up in the parking lot, folding towels, etc. I often teased him that next, he'd be doing hair and manicures in the salon. There will be no one else like him. He should come back. Everyone misses him. He was the best.

Ray did a spectacular job. By far the best of the managers since the gym first opened. What a terrible mistake to terminate his employment.

This gym's atmosphere has changed in the last year. Losing so much talent, and now Ray. His absence has been a huge loss for its members who appreciated his positivity, hardwork, and commitment. No matter where Ray continues his career, may his impact continue...he clearly loved what he did!

Please bring Ray back!! Not only is he a wonderful person, his work ethic top notch. He keeps everything clean and working. Nothing is not his job, he does it all. I have gone to many other LTF locations and Algonquin is by far the best because of Ray!!!

Bring back Ray! I've been a member of Lifetime since 2000, and have been working out at the Algonquin location since 2004. Ray is the best manager that club has ever had. It's a shame the company was blind to see what the members witnessed daily.

I've been a member since 2004, I have seen the Algonquin Lifetime run down because the managers did not care about the facility. Let's face it, Lifetime is not a cheap club to be a member of...I'm sure most of the members don't mind paying for a quality club-that's what Ray made it because it wasn't like that prior to him. He also treated the members as friends/family... he not only knew that it was a gym but it's also a benign social area for people to hang and make friends with others that they have something in common with-working out... It's a shame that such a good hearted man was let go. I'm sure if the status/quality if the gym declines lifetime will lose some members because there are many more close competitors out there then there were 13 years ago. Ray made a difference here and everyone truly likes and enjoyed him...lifetime really made an awful mistake letting him go...

We have been members of LTF since 2006. We have been at the Algonquin Illinois location since 2009. You don't realize what someone doesn't do until a new leader comes in and makes a difference. That leader is Ray. His work is a passion for the club and most importantly us, the customer. I hope this gets up to corporate.

This news is devistating! Reconsider employment of this intrigal part of Lifetime Fitness Algonquin's family if at all possible.
