After moving here by way of the military, I was disappointed to hear that NISD doesn’t have a wrestling program at the schools that my son can participate in. Wrestling is an incredible sport and is to our students’ detriment that it isn’t offered to our kids and community.
Wrestling needs to be a thing like it is in Austin. This would bring talent to our schools as kids choose to leave for other districts that have wrestling. This will also expose kids to a new sport that will build them positively.
I currently attend a school in the nisd school district and I always wanted to pursue wrestling. I was disappointed when I found out that they don't have wrestling on their athletic roster, I know many friends that wanted to wrestle but never got the chance to because of this.
Please bring wrestling to nisd in San Antonio tx. My girls wrestled in New Mexico as it is very big there and loved it . They hated coming back knowing they couldn’t continue the sport here .
I have two sons, both Middle School age. They wrestled for a club in the Atlanta area when we lived there, & would love to do so again. I myself am a certified coach through USA Wrestling, and I'd be happy to help out in any way I can.
Wrestling teaches students resilience, determination, perseverance, and self-defense.

I am about to be a freshman at O'Connor high school next year. i was excited about the possibility of trying out for wrestling for my course catalog but i was very dissapointed to hear that there was no wrestling program at NISD.
