From 2007-2013, Suzuki sold 138,965 SX4 models in the United States and Canada. While this figure may seem small in comparison to sales figures for vehicles from makers like Honda or Toyota, it is quite impressive when considered in the context of Suzuki's small distribution network in the North American market.

Suzuki Motor of America no longer sells vehicles in the US and Canada, but the SX4 still has thousands of fans, as evidenced by a thriving Internet community. The SX4 has achieved the kind of cult status usually reserved for classic VW Beetles and old Saabs, and for many of the same reasons: It is practical, functional, rugged, dependable, economical, and fun to drive.

We believe a vast, untapped market exists for these vehicles in North America. If troubled, nearly unknown Suzuki could still sell nearly 140,000 of them, what might a larger, healthier nameplate with excellent market penetration and name recognition (not to mention panache) be able to achieve?

The SX4 was developed jointly with Fiat, which continues to produce their version of the vehicle, the Fiat Sedici (http://www.fiat.com/com/sedici). We ask that the Fiat Group actively market and sell this model in the United States and Canada.
