We the parents of the East Lake and Palm Harbor soccer community support our coaching staff’s decision to select Tampa Bay United Rowdies as the new soccer partner for East Lake Sports Complex and East Lake Meadows.
Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation has voted unanimously to welcome TBU Rowdies as the new soccer partner at Putnam Park. We feel it is vital that the voting committee of East Lake Recreation take the same course of action.
We support our coaching staff’s belief that the infrastructure and leadership of TBU Rowdies will ensure the fields at East Lake and Palm Harbor are maintained and upgraded to meet our communities standards of excellence. We as parents feel that West Florida Flames has not delivered and will not deliver on promises made to our communities and change is now necessary.
It is our view that TBU Rowdies offers the best opportunity for our children to get access to well organized, high quality recreational soccer as well as 10 different levels of competitive soccer. We firmly believe TBU Rowdies will allow all our children to find a team at East Lake and/or Palm Harbor that matches their ability and ambition and will deliver a positive youth soccer experience.
We look forward to the new venture with TBU Rowdies and fully stand behind our coach's decision to select TBU Rowdies as the new soccer partner of East Lake.
We have dealt with this for years. My older daughter, Jillian Fragale, was a founding player for the academy. When it started there were only 9-10 girls on her team ... NO SUBS at many tournaments and games. She played up a year and was one of the top players on her team. Last season, Diego was brought in to coach and did a phenomenal job with the girls. Our girls were once again screwed over so our WHOLE team left and tried out for TBU's ECNL team and made it. I am happy to support this change. WFF should not have had a board only in Brandon ... it should have been divided between east and west. WE SHOULD HAVE DRAINED THE SWAMP YEARS AGO!!!
