I was walking through the halls earlier and realized how many of us are just freezing in these classrooms because the dress code feels completely out of touch with reality. I have been talking to some teachers who actually agree that a simple sweatshirt makes sense but they feel like their hands are tied by the higher ups who probably have never had to sit in a drafty building all day.

I really never expected this to take off like it has when I started typing this out in my room earlier. It is wild to see everyone piling on because it just proves that we are all freezing in these classrooms and honestly I am so ready to go talk to the administration about this now.

The reason for the dress code change was so we would look less "sloppy", so maybe we need to make a compromise to get sweatshirts and sneakers back. Any suggestions? Also, we can mention that we don't look that much different even with the sweatshirt ban, because we can still wear Nardin sweatshirts and hoodies.
These sweaters are very expensive. If you would lower the prices, then I'm pretty positive more people will be able to afford these clothes. It's actually getting cold outside and Buffalo is extremely ridiculous. We may freeze until May. Please, this would honestly be appreciated if we can wear sweaters and I am personally flat-footed so wearing flats doesn't really assist my ability to walk.
I completely agree with what Maria said. I do not participate in any Nardin sports, and my mother refuses to buy hoodies or sweatshirts from the nardin store because of how expensive they are.
Everybody, I think that it's great to sign this petition. However, I think an even better way to show your interest and support for this would be to show up to the forum with Mrs. Reeder tomorrow if possible. I'm sure Mrs. Reeder would be willing to hear any suggestions and hopefully we will be able to get our sweatshirts and sneakers back at Nardin!
I don't get why we are allowed to wear Nardin sweatshirts but not Joes or Canisius sweatshirts. There is literally no difference except for the name and maybe a picture. They are both sweatshirts and if we can wear Nardin sweatshirts then we should be allowed to wear other sweatshirts too.
I don't even go here...
we need sweatshirts when its cold and sneakers so we are prepared for gym

Some girls also don't have access to Nardin sweatshirts, as they are expensive at the Nardinware store and don't participate in Nardin athletics. If they are cold, they cannot wear a sweatshirt they have already.
