The Viva Las Vegas Weekender is celebrating its 20th year in 2017. Every festival is sold out far in advance with thousands of fans in attendance. Locally, Chicago has a thriving scene with several nightclubs hosting rockabilly bands. The Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin used to have some of the best shows around, thanks to promoter Phil Doran. He hired numerous acts to play both the lounge and festivals. Doran organized five rock and roll festivals, in 2002, 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2011. Anyone who attended those will never forget and would love to see them return. Sadly, that won't happen in Green Bay, but let's show our support by signing this petition in the hopes that either Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee or another venue will get on board. We want and need another festival, and Doran is the man for the job. Bring back rockabilly to Milwaukee!
