DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) has an open grant application to support public art projects in DC. Dumbarton House hopes to welcome Reggie Black, a multimedia artist from Washington DC to curate and take over the museum, grounds, and gardens of Dumbarton House with his art to juxtapose the historic artifacts. We need at least 25 signatures!

Reggie shares,“As a native African American Washingtonian, I look forward to the opportunity to utilize a multimedia artistic approach to create conversation around the hidden labor and Black bodies that we know were a part of historic narrative at Dumbarton House.

Through juxtaposing historic period house artifacts with contemporary art and hand type messaging, the objective of this exhibition is to push the envelope and create a culturally stimulating installation that is both accessible and thought provoking”
