Bring Mr Kreeft back

This is a small school, and students talk. Adults talk. While I don’t condone name calling, it’s clear that this moment was a lapse in judgment and not consistent with the person we know Mr. Kreeft to be. Clearly this suggests that there is more to this situation. What is also not acceptable is bragging about being in charge of who works here and who doesn’t. Bullies can come in many forms, and we must remember that students also need to be held accountable. Let’s all strive to do better.

Mr. Kreeft deserves the same grace and forgiveness that we, as Christians, are called to extend to one another. This is an opportunity to teach our children that true character is not defined by our triumphs alone, but how we respond in humility when we fall short. As administrators and fellow Catholics, we must treat him with the same mercy that our Lord has graciously shown us. No teacher among us is without fault. Mr. Kreeft is a good man and a dedicated teacher. His passion for teaching will undoubtedly lead our children to grow and flourish in faith and knowledge. Let us offer him the same grace we hope to receive.

Students need to be held accountable for the way they speak to our educators. Some of these kids have no respect for adults in their life and school is just a playground where they can be bullies to students and staff. I’m sure if this man called this child a bitch she probably was acting accordingly.

As a parent I believe this situation warrants discipline but not dismissal of the teacher.

Mr. Kreeft was a teacher who actually helped students understand the concept. He was kind and actually liked teaching students. He always welcomed students into his classroom with a smile and enthusiastic energy. Mr Kreeft made learning fun and enjoyable.

From the comments, it sounds like Mr. Kreeft had a huge positive impact on so many students at St. Francis, including our son. Our children need supportive teachers such as Mr. Kreeft. I hope the students and parents are heard and Mr. Kreeft is able to return to St. Francis

Mr. Kreeft has truly made a difference in the relationship between my daughter and history he has changed her understanding of the subject by allowing her to be herself in his classroom. He understands that some kids learns differently and he accepts her way of learning and I know that she really appreciates it and has learned a lot. I truly hope that administration will take this petition seriously because the students are trying to be heard and trying to make a difference in their community.
