Bring Mr Kreeft back

Mean girls never win and justice needs to be served. Firing one good teacher but keeping bad ones is uncalled for. They need to know that the school is not their kingdom they just attend it!!

I find it very hard to believe what Mr. Kreef said. He seems like a very genuine, kind, loving and honest man so if he did use vulgarity, maybe he wasn’t lying.

I find it hard to believe that such a severe punishment has been handed out to Mr. Kreeft. During my time at St. Francis I have seen so many teachers say much worse things, without the slightest acknowledgment by the upper administration. Mr. Dewig has said the n-word in front of students, something that certainly should not have been excused but was somehow overlooked. Some current teachers compared individuals to “eugenics” children, while others manipulated the grades of kids that they favored. Administrators were informed, but nothing was ever done. Mrs. Gutierrez gets involved with the drama of students and lectures them if she doesn’t approve, something I don’t believe should be condoned at the school, but she is still a member of the faculty. These are only a few examples, but I’m sure that if I took more than 5 minutes to think about it I could find more. Ultimately, I think that some of these should be addressed in a similarly harsh manner, or that Mr. Kreeft should receive a lest harsh punishment. It just doesn’t seem like the distribution of justice is fair.

Firing Mr. Kreef was a big mistake and won’t be the same.

We teach our children to learn from mistakes...this no different. A wrong can be turned into a right without taking drastic measures. I stand with the students.

Mr Kreeft is a great person, and cares deeply for the students of SFHS and has impacted my daughter and helped her get through math class and finally make her feel happy about math again. It’s a shame that those girls have affected my daughters future and MANY others based off of one word. Disappointed... You shouldn’t have gone there in the first place. #youaskedforit

We, the students and supporters of Mr. Kreeft, urge the administration to reconsider the decision to terminate him. While we acknowledge that calling a student a derogatory term was inappropriate, it does not define Mr. Kreeft as an educator or a person. Mistakes happen, and one lapse in judgment should not overshadow the years of dedication, passion, and positive impact he has had on his students. Mr. Kreeft has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that students feel supported, challenged, and inspired in the classroom, making learning an engaging and meaningful experience. Everyone, including teachers, makes mistakes, and it is important to recognize that we are all human. The pressures of the job, combined with the daily challenges of managing a classroom, can lead to moments of frustration. However, one moment should not erase the countless times Mr. Kreeft has shown patience, kindness, and commitment to student success. Rather than punishment through termination, a more constructive approach—such as a formal apology, sensitivity training, or disciplinary action—would allow growth and improvement while still retaining an exceptional educator who has shaped the lives of many. This petition is a testament to the fact that students, parents, and colleagues stand behind Mr. Kreeft and believe in his ability to learn from this mistake. We ask that the administration take into consideration the overwhelming support for his reinstatement and recognize that his impact far outweighs this one incident. By allowing him to continue teaching, the school would be sending a powerful message about forgiveness, growth, and the value of dedicated educators. Please reconsider this decision and allow Mr. Kreeft the opportunity to make amends and continue shaping the future of his students.

Copy I have had four children attend St. Francis, and I can confidently say that Mr. Kreeft is the best math teacher I've encountered there. It's truly disappointing that he was let go, especially since it's challenging to find math teachers who can connect with students and effectively teach the material.

Sounds like this happened without hearing both sides. I commend teachers for being teachers. Loose cannon kids need to be put in place once in a while.

Mr. Kreeft was my faith family leader and I’m very devastated he will not be anymore, and will not be my teacher in the future. He was the only teachers who truly made me feel comfortable and safe in their classroom. It’s disappointing that a teacher who really does cares for St. Francis students have been let go.

The students really like Mr. Kreeft and learn well from him.
