Recently, our principal Mr. William Howard Guth resigned from Jefferson High School, and well... you all should know the rest by now. (NOTE: Yes this was a personal decision of his, but this is to show how much Jefferson Student Body cares about him and to show him that.) Now, we can't speak for the rest of the students, but we know that we ourselves were looking forward to shaking Mr.Guth's hand at the end of our four years. This petition has been caused because we love Mr. Guth. He truly cares about everybody in Jefferson. He did everything he could when he needed to, to make sure everybody was safe, and that everything was going how it should. Mr. Guth would stand outside in the mornings and wave to people no matter what the weather was. He went to every single game Jefferson had. We believe that, for our school, we need OUR principal. JeffersonHigh School is the biggest family EVER. We stick together. We have the most school spirit when it comes to sticking together in a time of need! So why don't we at least try to get our principal back? He may not even want to come back, and that's entirely up to him, but we can't give up.
The administration thought we would just sit back and accept this loss quietly. They were wrong because this movement is proof that our bond to Mr. Guth remains unbreakable and they are finally starting to feel the heat.

Mr. Guth was the best principle any school could have. He's what made jefferson such a family. He's the heart behind the spirit.

Even if Guth is not accepted back, I think that the seniors should have their own ceremony at morgans grove, so we can all properly shake his hand for graduation. He went out of his way to shake a students hand and give him his diploma last year, even though he was banned from graduation.
Least we can do.

I remember when i first started at jefferson and needed help with many of things, i knew that i could always count on Guth to have the answer. He was by far the nicest, most loving and caring person that Jefferson has seen. Jefferson just isn't The same without Guth, and i know that i sure as hell want to shake Guth's hand when i cross that stage in May. Depsite the mistakes he made, he still deserves his spot as our principal! Jhigh or die!

I didn't know Mr. Guth very well since I'm a freshman but I saw what he did for our school. He supported each and every student through everything and cared for each and every student as his own kid. He cared so much for our safety he'd stand out side in the extremely cold morning and afternoon to wave and make sure we all got on the buses, to our cars safely. No other principal will ever be the same as him.

Mr. Guth is one of the most caring individuals I have ever come in contact with. He truly loves our school and student body. I, as well as many of my peers, will be forever appreciative of him for all he has done for Jefferson High School and the impact he's had on our lives.

greatest and most sincere man. I don't want to shake anyone else's hand at graduation.
