Hello everyone. I come to you today and ask you for a favor. I have an English teacher, his name is Scott Leake. My teacher is being asked to stop being a teacher at Dr. Phillips High School because he does not "fit well." He has made a huge impact on my life and the life of many others in his first year teaching at DP. He was the Assistant coach for the Varsity and JV girl's soccer team at DP. He was also the announcer for the lacrosse games. Mr. Leake not only made an impact on students during school hours but he also stayed after school voluntarily to help with after school activities. He has a family, including 3 kids that he needs to feed and give shelter to. He doesn't have a backup plan or job and he enjoys teaching and has a passion for it. Since the first day of school he told us to stand up for what we believe in and instead of focusing on how what you're going to do in the future, focus on how you can make a change in the world. I ask that we come together today and fight to save Scott Leake's job at Dr. Phillips High School.
