We just hit 500 signatures and I am honestly exhausted by how much work this has demanded. It is a long road ahead but seeing these names on the list keeps me pushing forward.

The emails I receive from families struggling with these requirements are exhausting to read because the frustration is so constant. I am still pushing for a meeting with the board despite the wall of silence I have hit so far.

Our schools' main concern should be our education. Having a more strict dress code will only lead to more and frequent violations, distracting other students and causing staff to waste valuable time on something as insignificant as a pair of pants.
I believe the students should be allowed to wear their jeans. It is an extremely expense on us the parents, when we have to buy them uniforms. Not only are they expensive but i personally have a hard time finding uniform pants that fit them to thier comfort.
Bring back jeans for the 2016-2017 school year. It is very difficult for me to find any pants that LISD requires. Jeans are the only pants that fit me comfortably. May I remind you tall people have a harder time to find clothing than others. When we do it's not appropriate for school. LISD please bring back jeans into the dress code.
I thought the rules that came with wearing jeans last year were going to be broken the first day, however the year was a success and everything went well! There were not really any problems.
If they brought jeans back, they wouldn't have to "worry" about sending kids to the office. Less kids getting in trouble about pants is better than the everyday struggle of getting everyone in dress code.

As a teacher and a parent, I can guarantee that whether the kids wear jeans or khakis will make no difference in how they are learning. And if it means one less fight each morning, I'm all for it. :-)
