I support the addition of a chicken friendly ordinance allowing the keeping of backyard hens in Palatine, IL. I recognize that allowing backyard hens would encourage sustainable living in Palatine, provide citizens with more delicious and nutritious eggs, and be a great educational opportunity for children.

My neighbors in other towns have them and they are quiet clean and provide great eggs. Why is Palatine so behind the times? Let us have our chickens.

Would love to teach my kids where food comes from instead of just buying it at the store. backyard hens are a no brainer.
