Bring Backyard Chickens to Cambridge

Let’s get this done!

I support this motion. We should all be able to have access to sustainable food, even in the form of eggs and chicken. It's not that much of a nuisance. Chickens are manageable and no roosters are need for chickens to lay eggs.

Bringing backyard chickens to Cambridge (Hespeler) is a step in the right direction to resource sustainability as well as a better quality food source.

I would love to have backyard chickens and I think this bylaw should be changed and that chickens are a great thing to teach to teach children how to care for and to teach them responsibility

I would love to have fresh eggs and chickens at my home in Galt.

I see nothing wrong with backyard chickens. People can have dogs and dogs are a lot more noisy then chickens.

Dogs occationally will let out a bark and it is far loader than any sound a chicken can make. Not all dog owner clean up after their dogs when taken for a walk. Cats run fee and no one cleans up after them. Cat pick up parasite and run freely about the city and are petted by many children. Chicken's remain contained on the owner's property and are handled by no one but the owners.
