In every municipality surrounding Cambridge back yard Chickens is becoming more common practice, it's about time we in Cambridge (Preston) did as well.

Chickens would be such a great addition to our backyard gardens. Help reduce food waste and allow us to provide not only education to our children about food origins, but access to good food.

I support having backyard chickens. They will also help control ticks and prevent the spread of lyme disease.

Even if permits are required, please allow people the right to have these animals on our own property. Don’t allow a negligent few to spoil it for others.

I should be able to have chickens on my property. They produce food and eat bugs.

I would love the opportunity to have backyard chickens again. I just recently moved to Cambridge about a year ago and I had backyard chickens in Brampton as they allowed to Backyard chickens. Once we moved here we gave our chickens to a friend who has been taking care of them very well. If the laws were passed we use the opportunity as a teaching moment for our little one who is turning 3 years old this month. Chickens are generally not very noisy and are so rewarding 2 own. I'm hoping our future allows us to raise chickens and have her very own fresh eggs. Anyone who's ever had backyard chickens understands that there is a regular basic upkeep needed to maintain the health of the chickens but it is all very rewarding and worth it.
