If I have the property and it is fenced why not I have a coop for them. What is the difference between keeping birds inside your house not so healthy and you can't eat the eggs. In New York city they have chickens on balcony's Kelly Rippa has them

I have many chickens, ducks, quail, and turkeys just out side of Cambridge. They are amazing birds and create great compost for my garden as well as meat and eggs. The world would be a much better place if more people could raise there own and slow down factory farms a little bit.

Would love the option of having chickens. I don't think the right should be taken away from those who want the experience and ability to provide fresh food for their families. We live in Preston as well.

Cambridge residents should have the right to humanely raise their own chickens. I fully support this by-law change. Other cities are doing it; let's get with the times.

Cannot get more local than the backyard. Great way to teach kids where food comes from and the joy in raising animals. Banning this practice is arcane and only protects those who care little for ones carbon foot print.
