Mr West was one of my teachers back in Ely. We need more teachers like him...inspiring and innovative. It was an accident!

they do much worse things in chem labs. this was an honest mistake and Mr West deserves his job back as he is clearly an inspiring and engaging teacher.

I didn't have Mr West as my Physics teacher when I was at school but wanted him to be as I found him to be inspirational and had a fun way of teaching. As a professional working with young people I find that the way this is has been dealt with is disgusting and disrespectful to a teacher who has been dedicated to his job for many years and dedicated to the school. Yes there are procedures to be taken but this has been over exaggerated for a dedicating teacher.

Accidents happen no matter how "safe" policies and procedures are. Engaging young people in science is hard enough. when you get a teacher who can do this why remove him from his passion.
