Absolutely unbelievable, the fact that the student involved never filed a complaint makes it worse. I really hope that the local authority reconsider.

Mr West encouraged me to do physics at A level, at a time when the goverment is trying to encourage more young people to persue the sciences to sack such an inspirational teacher is absolutely rediculous.

I remember Mr West as a brilliant teacher, to be sacked for an accident where no one was actually hurt is ridiculous.

I went to St. Peters over 10 years ago and Mr. West was there then. He was one of my most memeroable teachers. This is disgusting. He deserves better. Much better.

Mr West has taught both my sons physics at S.Peters. In fact they chose the subject because Mr West is an inspirational teacher. My youngest son has been taught by supply teachers since Mr Wests suspension in November. I think it is disgraceful how he has been treated

As a teacher myself I totally understand how mr west will be feeling. He sounds like a very inspirational teacher! I would prefer my child to be taught science in a practical way rather than reading through text books!!

As a parent and school governor I can't understand why a brilliant and loved teacher would be dismissed over a minor accident where even the pupil who was hit by the pellet is surprised.

Mr West made Science exciting and fun, he helped me through my GCSE science and I wouldn't have got my grade C without him. This is terrible, after all this support shown, it's clear St Peters should reinstate him!

Mr West is a great teacher though he never tought me he did teach me physics when I was stuck after I discover I was dyslexic in my final year of sixth form and he took me on D of E and personally went back to Wolverhampton from a exposition once to get my medication. With out him I don't think I would of then continued through the scheme to now be receiving my gold D of E. It is wrong he has been dismissed for a simple accident that could of happened to any physics teacher, I did a similar test with another teacher and nothing happened and I know many other classless have also. I strongly disagree with his dismissal.
