Mr West was one of the best teachers at S.Peters and one of the only ones who put his students first. In fact it was only because of his selflessness that my cohort were able to do their Duke of Edinburgh award expeditions through school. He taught me that I do anything I put my mind to. I remember his classes fondly and how he engaged every student. I have gone on to do both an undergraduate and a postgraduate degree and I believe his motivation is

I am moved by how past and present students alike have reacted in outrage at the board's decision. I wish we had teachers such as him at my school when I was young - might have even inspired me to take on physics A level! We need teachers like Mr West back in the classrooms!!

Mr West is a fantastic teacher. There are few as good as him. Both my son and daughter did extremely well in Physics under Mr West's tuition, going back 6/8 years. He brought Physics to life, in an otherwise boring subject, according to my daughter!!!

If the pupils want him back that's good enough for me - sounds like he's being punished for using his imagination to bring a difficult subject to life.

When I went to St Preter's, we were hit with a cane on our bums just for smiling! This incident caused much less damage and pain - School has gone down the pan!!!!!
