I can tell you first hand what a brilliant teacher Mr West is. It is Mr West's lessons that students around the school look forward to and enjoy the most.

Schools need good teachers like this to inspire our kids. I think this school would be better to change the governing board for deciding to sack him!
Mr West was the best teacher I had through secondary school, he is the only reason I took Science as a GCSE and he is the only reason I actually passed it! This decision is absolutely ridiculous, if it wasn't for the way Mr West teaches I would never have had the interest in science that I do now, and I certainly wouldn't have had enough interest to work in science and get my qualification. I have always said there needs to be more teachers like Mr West in our schools, maybe then we would see better grades as I'm sure many more pupils would have much more of an interest in their subjects and we would see our results improve across the nation.

You got to be kidding!!!! The guy is an absolute legend! To think 10 years on from teaching me he commands this kind of respect is amazing. There were 4 teachers at St Peters who inspired me and influenced me for the better and he certainly was one of them!!! Lets hope the right decision is made.

Hi sacking is a disgrace. Mr. West was one of the best teachers I had and he was truly an inspiration in my educational development.

He shouldn't have been sacked. The students should have been given an assignment to explain the science of what happened!
