This is so unjust - Mr West is that rare breed of teacher who inspires all his students. The Governors should be ashamed, where has common sense gone?

All experiments have risk, this is no exception, whether it be a Bunsen burner to a pellet gun, an accident is an accident, don't tarnish a mans good name and career because of an accident.

Westy is a truly great Physics teacher who really helped students in the class room, and with a lot of great extracurricular activates. One accented should not ruin a great teachers career.

I have no affiliation with the school but I fully support the students in getting their teacher reinstated. Accidents happen no matter what health & safety plans are in place. Great teachers are rare and Mr West sounds awesome!

Have no affiliations with the school or teacher whatsoever, but I believe it's outrageous that one is sacked for a simple accident. Air gun pellets only cause insignificant injuries, and this is ridiculous. Any sane school would have let a good teacher stay on. This is health and safety gone mad...

Sound a much more inspirational Physics teacher than the one I had at school who knew his stuff but could never get it over to the class. Wish I had had Mr West teaching me after reading these comments. Maybe I would have got higher than a grade 3 in my O Level!!
