An amazing teacher without him I would never have achieved an 'A' in Science. Someone kids easily get on with and one of those teachers that makes lessons fun!!

Senior Management you should hang your heads in shame.You knew the teaching techniques and had done for years,along with having pupils stood on desks,fainting and falling resulting in injuries.What happened to that member of staff? Nothing.Do the honourable thibg and resign your post.

Mr West is and always has been a superb teacher and individual who only has the very best intentions when it comes to teaching and looking after his students. He manages to engage each and every person into sharing his passion for the subject he loves. His care and compassion to student and staff welfare must also be commended and has been consistent throughout his career. It is a shame that what sounds like an unfortunate accident in the classroom has come to such severe circumstances. S. Peter's school is a 'family' and Mr West has been part of that family for a very long time. It would be a great shame to think that his career spanning so many years of service to the school should come to such an abrupt end whilst trying to enthuse another generation of students in an experiment that went slightly amiss. Mistakes and accidents do and will continue to happen in any profession, but I hope he can be forgiven in this instance. Whatever the circumstances over his dismissal, it would be tragic to think he can't be given another chance to teach anymore.

best teacher at st peters by far. bring him back . nowone can replace mr west ,he took time and put effort into his job infsir what happened .im not by far impressed at all .

Fantastic teacher that inspired my love for physics which I have passed to my children. Teachers like this should be celebrated for thier innovation and engagement not punished.

It's so sad that teachers who hate their job and children have more protection than a man who is aiming to inspire young people and teach science with an obvious love for his career
