I am the father of three who were inspired by Mr West and his engaging style of teaching. I suggest we write to the Chair of Governors for reconsideration of their decision in the light of the School 'mission stastement'. Can the Governors find a will to forgive Mr West and reinstate him? Too many teachers simply drone on from textbooks and not enough have a passion for their subject like Mr. West obviously does - his pupils, both current and former, have made their voices clear on this matter - now show some humility and let them see how a democratic society is *supposed* to behave!

A complete over-reaction to an experiment that had clearly been successful and inspirational in the past. I'm all for risk assessments and safety first but this is just bonkers.
