I and my children who were pupils of Mr West are devastated to know that he has been dismissed from his post. He was most respected and added hugely to shaping my children's future.

Taught my children in the 90;s. Only teacher at parents evening to have shown genuine interest. Have the powers that be never made a mistake?

Yet another example of detachment from the real world by these so-called panels of experts. They tow the health and safety line, close ranks to protect their little earner whilst sat upon a well-paying board that dare not contravene government guideline, and then go home without a second thought towards the consequences of their actions, but in full fear of losing their easy life upon a chair if they were to exercise a little common sense. I’m so glad my student days came well before the onset of cotton-wool wrapping our youth.

To the chair of governors please read your mission statement slowly. The reflect and pray about how you have shown agape,Trust and Forgiveness. Then ask god to forgive you for destroying this mans entire life

Taught with Richard at St Peters over 10 years ago. True what they all say, he really was a great teacher that students made excellent progress with. Potentially a real loss to the profession.

I dont know mr west, but it sounds like he is an inspiration to his pupils, accidents happy, the poor guy must be devistated by what happened.

At a time when good science teachers are in demand, it seems ridiculous that a man who has clearly inspired so many should be stopped from doing so because of an accident. Please see sense and reinstate Mr. West!
