Final supporters
We would like to express our disapproval with the condition of the unions much loved Saturday night.
Firstly, the choice of tunes is questionable. Whilst there were a few good songs to bop along to, they were dispersed with an overwhelmingly less than average choice of music We feel it is such a shame that as population we couldn't even sing along to 87% of the songs.
Secondly, the atmosphere is so different and many of us who have been coming to the union for years and giving it our money have really not enjoyed this new night and it doesn't reflect the majority of attendees positive attitude and we would like to request music that appeals more to the masses that you can sing. e.g chart music and cheesy old music like Angels: Robbie Williams

I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the union programming board to discuss the decline in Saturday night attendance. We are currently compiling specific feedback from the comments to present as evidence of the shift in student preference.

literally just want to hear spice girls and s club 7 again, is that really too much to ask for on a sat night? stop trying to make the union cool and just let us have a laugh
bring back the cheesy pop!!! nobody wants this house stuff
Boombox is not what I want or need on a Saturday night after a hard week of university work. It's too heavy and serious and the music they're playing is undanceable. Moving my body felt like a chore and that's the last thing I need after doing chores such as cleaning vomit off my living room rug.
The music in throwback was more fun. House and dubstep on a Saturday night at the SU doesn't fly with me, I can go to digi for that.
Take a look at the success of she fields Union night poptart, I agree that throw back needed to change but it has gone in the wrong direction it needed to get cheeser!!!

the new music is proper rubbish. i came here to have a drink with my mates not to feel like im standing in a dark basement listening to industrial noise
