As older sisters who have experienced a number of both themed date parties (vegas wedding, jungle, fiesta,...) and the more formal date parties, we believe that the fun and crazy themes should be brought back! Alpha Phi has always been known as a fun, outgoing, and creative group of girls and we should keep up that reputation by getting excited about themed date parties again. Themes and silly costumes help to break the ice when you are on a blind date and allow you to bond with a new person and sister over what costume to wear. Now that we have only had formal style date parties, we need to have an abundance of fancy dresses. Themed date parties require more creativity and could prove to save money on dresses for a lot of girls. While we appreciate all of the great themes at our mixers, a themed date party is a completely different experience. It is an amazing feeling to get off campus and go to a new venue as a group dressed in ridiculously hilarious outfits. Please take this into consideration for our last Spring date party as this is the seniors' last chance to have a themed date party before formal.
