I honestly cannot believe how many people have jumped on this after I thought it would just be me and a few friends complaining in the hallways. My phone has not stopped buzzing since this momentum started building up and it makes me think that maybe we actually have a shot at changing things if we keep pushing the administration.

My son sometimes needs to message me because he struggles with anxiety and the phone is the best way for him to do that and stay in class
If a student wants to go on their phone and not pay attention, let them. Taking away the phone will not teach self-discipline and isn't preparing the student for the adult life. At least allow the senior students to keep phones, as it shouldn't be the teachers job to force students to work.

The new rules are way to strict. Everyone just wants to check their messages during break or lunch and now we cant even do that without getting in trouble.
