Maxwell was one of the only teachers who encouraged his students and accepted each of us the way we were. There were a few tough years in high school when his classroom became an escape and almost sanctuary. Your big big loss, Northwest.

Mr maxed is a very respectable teacher. He was my journalism teacher for two years. All he has ever done was show his respect. Has worked very hard and it's a shame that a movie he turned off out of respect ends his career. Bring him back

I don’t know the full details but schools are enabling kids to hide in a bubble and protect from the real world. They need to be prepared for the real world. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows it’s not always fair and sometimes you have to deal with things that offend you no matter how big or little and there’s nothing you can do except let it destroy you or just shrug it off and move on.

Northwest always made everything unfair for me nobody ever gave me a chance. They always picked the students that have friends and family that work at this school. But Mr. Maxwell is the only teacher that gave me a chance and was understanding.

I have multiple children in the Northwest school district. My two oldest have had the privilege to experience one or more of Mr. Maxwell's classes and both have been truly touched, not just by the material covered, but by the person Mr. Maxwell is. He genuinely cares about the students and Northwest. We need more teachers like him! Please Northwest, reconsider this decision. Losing such a great teacher would be a tremendous loss to the district and all the students who have yet to know him!

In my years at Northwest high school I made a name for myself as a problem child & a bad student. I've heard first hand that my name was thrown around in the teachers lounge a lot. Mr. Maxwell never once minimized my intellectual capacity. He alone is the reason I graduated.
