He is my coach, and a good teacher too. He shouldn't have been fired.

I didn’t even have Mr. Maxwell as a teacher but just from knowing him in the hallways! He was awesome and so genuine! He cared about EVERYONE that walked those hallways of Northwest! I’d hate to see him lose his CAREER over something like this! Not only is he a good teacher, he’s all around a good person!!!

Teachers have it hard enough. For one student to feel uncomfortable, there is many other ways the school could have and should have dealt with this situation instead of termination.

Mr. Maxwell is a great man, teacher and friend. This is absolutely absurd and breaks my heart they fired him.

We shouldn’t set a precedent of forcing teachers to resign when one student feels uncomfortable in their class. I would like to see the Northwest Administration have a little more backbone.

Mr. Maxwell is not only an inspirational, admirable, outstanding, passionate, energetic teacher, he displays the best of intentions to anyone he interacts with. Even in his personal life. Losing someone so valuable and wise to our children would be a sad day for the future Nortwest students. We can not shelter our kids to the reality of the real world, they deserve to be prepared for situations that can and do occur daily.
