The message here is simple and we need to make sure the village council knows it. Copy the link to this petition and post it on your personal Facebook page today. Send an email to your local representative and ask them to explain why these small businesses are being turned away from our streets.

The momentum behind this push to bring the food vans back proves how much we value our local businesses. Now is the time to turn this energy into action by sending an email to our ward councillors demanding a meeting. Tell them exactly why these vans are vital for our community spirit.

Think it's terrible that it seems they were banned by a very small minority as the majority have made it clear they are wanted here in Bolnore. I think they should have at least involved all who lived waiting the square and would be directly affected. How can it be a community if the majority of the community are not consulted or included in decisions! At least arrange a meeting for all who would like to be involved and have their say!

This is a huge plus to the village as so many takeaway service will not deliver here

Why can’t the vans rotate every week? Why was such a harsh quick decision made without exploring the potential solutions? Such a shame for the village!

Shame the minority have to ruin it for the majority! If there are issues such as noise why don’t have a discussion to see what can be done instead of rid them altogether?! Doesn’t make sense!

I don't think it's democratic for a small minority to dictate to the majority. I live on the Square, and I've no objection to the pizzas or fish and chips, provided they don't leave a mess.

Fab has been here for 9 months with no complaints and the village square is the obvious place to have the food vans.

This is surely worth a discussion for a resolution rather giving up at the first hurdle!

Supported. Banning them without fist engaging in constructive dialogue is appalling behaviour and not in the spirit of Bolnore.
