The hallway feels completely different without Mr. Ashton here to challenge us. I am spending my afternoons talking with other students who saw exactly what happened and refuse to let his reputation be ruined by these baseless rumors.

So angry about this. I have already left messages for the superintendent and the principal. Calling Gist next. Mr Ashton is the best teacher at JMW and the reason I have not pulled my kid from the school.
Students and parents should be fully informed before making any and all decisions. This teacher was doing his job by giving all the facts needed to make an informed decision. The more I learn about PARCC and Pearson the more infuriated I get.
Bill Ashton is an awesome teacher and was a pleasure to have as a high school teacher. I see no precise reason as to why he was suspended. It is clear to me that Ashton was just doing his job by telling his students the truth and not only alerting them but lessening their stress. Please bring Ashton Back.
Ashton has helped me grow not only as a student but as a person. His honesty and bluntness about current issues should be rewarded not reprimanded. He's treated all of his students with respect and does not deserve this punishment! BRING BACK ASHTON!!!
It's not JUST about bringing back our teacher -- we understand that. It's about showing the school department how pointless and ridiculously anxiety-inducing the PARCC and other standardized testing is.
I stand behind Mr. Ashton, his actions, and all the students at JMW. They deserve a teacher whose will set the record straight on a rumor that was created to scare students into compliance. This is WRONG.
Students are being bullied & manipulated to take these tests which do not inform instruction and only make corporations wealthy!

Please remove the suspension for Mr. Ashton and also respect the Rights of Freedom of Speech and the Rights of Students who want to refuse taking the PARCC test which they strongly feel is not in the teachers, the school or their best interests..
