I stand behind Mr. Ashton, his actions, and all the students at JMW. They deserve a teacher whose will set the record straight on a rumor that was created to scare students into compliance. This is WRONG.

He was doing the right thing. As a HS student in Washington I strongly appreciate what he told his kids. He sounds like a amazing man and teacher. Bring back a teacher who actually cares! He should of never been removed from the schools.

Ashton is incredible, his work ethic and the way he treated us as students prepared us for college so well. I now attend Pace University in New York City, my writing skills and reading skills as well as life skills have improved so much since my first high school English class with Mr. Ashton. To this day I look forward to visiting him and informing him of my accomplishments in college, all thanks to him. Ashton is one of the most influential teachers JMW has. To get rid of him is such a loss for the school. He prepares you for the real world. #bringashtonback

You know your school won't lose funding - school districts routinely fall below the 95% participation rate and funding has never been cut - not once, not ever. I hope Mr. Ashton gets a lawyer and sues the pants off of the school for this behavior. Then you will REALLY need to worry about your funding. For a school, this is certainly a pathetic example to be setting for children.

When teachers are punished for simply correcting the misinformation given to students we have stopped educating and begun indoctrinating.
