I would certainly home on a day that is a national holiday you would choose to do fireworks on the fourth of July!!!

If I wanted to celebrate pioneer day I would move to the state of Utah. Even in Utah they celebrate other dates with fireworks. I feel our country's independence day trumps Utahs pioneer day! With all that has been transporting in this great country this year...with gay pride & banning a flag of history with the Confederate flag ban, it makes me sick to know Star Valley's elected officials have taken upon themselves, like our current government officials have to do as they please with no consideration for the people that have put them where they govern. I know where my future votes will land.

The 4th of July is more important than a Utah religious holiday and certainly more important than "Crazy Days". Our citizens will remember this ridiculous idea come election day.

The birth of our great nation is much more important than a church's, "pioneer day". Tax payers dollars should not support this day. I am deeply saddened, that you have chosen to put Independence Day, behind one church's holiday. Please reconsider you decision, so our Nation's independence, can be fully celebrated, by all Patriots.

I believe this the worst thing you possibly do to a community. Either cancel the fire work show about the church and do it on the 4th or just give the tax payers money back. You basically stealing money from the good ppl of the town..

Independents day is a bit more meaningful than pioneer days. If our country didn't fight for freedom than would we have the right for any holiday?? Let's think about the importance of the celebration.

We just moved to the valley in August of 2014. We were disappointed to find out that there are no fireworks here. We have decided that we will go to Lava Hot Springs to watch them this year.

Pioneer Day is a Utah holiday and in the past the ONLY town that held a celebration for that day is Fairview! The 4th of July is a NATIONAL holiday!!
