I find this so sad and disrespectful to our country. It's a day of celebration for our freedom. How dare you use tax payers money to choose to spend the money for a religious holiday instead of supporting our wonderful country that allows you freedom everyday. I think it's time our local government supports the nations birthday and listens to the taxpayers! If you want fireworks on the 24th? Maybe you should contact the church to pay for them! This is ridiculous!

The Summer Craze event was set up by Star Valley Chamber of Commerce not the Town of Afton I believe. If it was SV Chamber I can see why they set up the Biggest on a different day than the other small communities that are spending big bucks on 4 of July.

I WORK FOR A CITY GOVERNEWMENT AND THE ONLY REASON THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW FIREWORKS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY IS IF THERE WAS A DANGER OF FIRE. INFACT THEIR ARE RESRICTED AREAS HERE FOR THE 4TH AS WELL AS THE 24TH. I BELIEVE THE 4TH OF JULY SUPERSEEDS THE 24TH OF JULY FOR FIREWORKS. IF YOU CANT DO BOTH HOLIDAYS, IT NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THE 4TH FOR THIS GREAT COUNTRY WE LIVE IN. HAVE A PRIMARY PARADE FOR THE 24TH LIKE INT EH OLD DAYS.
