Earlier this year a radio station in Denver Colorado Reformatted its programming and began toexclusivelyplay electronic music (I hate the term EDM, sorry). It wasreceivedextraordinarilywell, at least by personal observation through casual conversation and social media. It wasaffiliated with, but not managed by, the Triad Dragons Entertainment group as well as Beta night club, Beatport, and other Denver based groups related to electronic music. Unfortunately this past weekend they have once againreformattedthe radio station. As I am sure all of you are very well aware of that Marijuana wasrecentlylegalized for recreational use in the State of Colorado. In order to ride off the publicity of this recent new law KDHT-FM once again reformatted its programming andrelabeled the radio station from HOT 107.1 Denvers Dance Station to POT 107.1. This was personallyreceivedas terrible news for I had become very fond of the radio station and the support it had brought to the Colorado electronic music scene. It was something very special and unique to allelectronic musicfans across Colorado. All I'm asking for is the support of every obsessed electronic music fan in Colorado such as myself. I took it upon my own initiative to simply create an online petition. If you could please post the petition on Twitter Facebook etc it would be anincrediblehelp to bring back something which was very special and unique to the Denver electronic music scene. It would be anincredibleservice to all of the obsessed electronic music fans in Colorado. I have tried to Email as well as tweet various Electronic music artists which have originated from Colorado such as Pretty Lights, Datsik, Big Gigantic, Savoy, Manufactured Superstars, Paper Diamond, Dirt Monkey ETC. It has alreadyreceivedsupport from two of Colorado's artists Paper diamond and Dirt Monkey who have both tweeted about the matter. It would help very helpful If everyone could Tweet the link to the petition at Major artists which have originated from Colorado such as the ones listed above to endorse, support, advocate, promote etc the petition. If Colorado electronic music fans feel as strongly as I do about this we can bring back something which was very unique and supportive of the Colorado electronic music scene.
