I honestly don't see the point in banning hood wearing when you're allowed to wear a hoodie.

This is sad we need to petition this. There better things the school should be correcting. Uniforms are ridiculous too. They are going to cost as much as regular closes. Some kids already have their school cloths and can't afford to be buying new cloths to pacify the school. How about we focus on education, attendance and respect in this school. If I was a teacher at the school, I would be glad the kids showed up, participate and walked away with an education, and not worried if they were wearing. Education and heath should be the school top priority and I am ashamed that we as parents need to deal with this or that this is an issue.

It’s not a security issue, it’s an excuse to exert power and feel in control that was never needed.

You tell your students they are not permitted to wear their winter jackets in the winter because they are a distraction, and now you’re telling them sweatshirts and jackets are banned and will have consequences if worn. What do you expect children to wear? This is just pathetic. They are teenagers that want to be comfortable while they are learning. I know that my daughter is not going to want to wear a sweater all of winter while she is cold. You are giving these teenagers no options. Very disappointed in the school district for making this rule without thinking it out.

Enforce the rule for those abusing the dress code. Do not punish others for it.

Parents have already purchased kids school cloths. Instead of punishing these kids how about do your jobs and hold kids accountable for wearing hoods up. Stop trying to be friends and be the teacher

Shouldn't ban the hoodies because some don't follow the rules. Enforce the rules with those that don't want to put the hood down!!

I agree...the whole should not be punished for the actions of a few. The administration needs to actually enforce the rules that exist

My children wear hoodies to school because 1 the classrooms are cold during some months and 2 there isn't enough time to put a coat in their locker so they wear hoodies instead. Please reconsider this change. Enforce the existing dress code, don't add more restrictions to the children who follow the rules!

As a parent of a liberty student I think this hoodie ban is ridiculous. A lot of highschoolers are insecure of there bodies and hoodies can make them feel more secure, leading to better learning. My child complains of cold classrooms all year-round, I just want my baby to feel comfortable in the classroom because I view education as his future. Why punish everyone for the act of a few? Just punish those who wear their hoods up instead. Also you shouldn't be worried of students hiding stuff in their hoodies, because a lot more can be hidden in a Chromebook case. Bring back the hoodies Liberty!!
