I have small children in the district and it would be a disappointment if we do not have an 8th grade promotion. Please bring it back and keep it around.

I was a former graduate of the Yorkville school system as was my Brother.. My Mother went from Kindergarten-High School at what was Parkview. I find it really ABSURD you would take that right of passage away from the 8th grade students.

I think this means alot to the kids who work so hard. This is a stepping stone to High School.

How can they not have a graduation ceremony! When I was a child we had a cap and gown and it was a big deal. You want the children to be serious about school, you shouldn't take something like this away from them. Its a time honored tradition for families and students! I am really disappointed. If there is an issue with room, then move it somewhere else in town.

My godson is going to be graduating from 8th grade this year. I was very surprised and disappointed that there will be no ceremony to honor this amazing achievement! Looking back to that time in my life, 8th grade graduation was a big deal to us and meant a lot to get that certificate. It's a shame these kids will never experience it, I say bring back graduation for these kids to be so proud of themselves!!

My son is graduating this year and having gone to school for 8 plus years and no ceremony to celebrate this great journey! So yes I say bring it back

My mom didn't get an 8th grade graduation in Yorkville due to moving at the end of 8th grade from a town that had 9th grade graduation...this was approx. 57 years ago...I've heard about this my whole life...don't make any other children have this regret.

I think it is so sad that this school has taken away Graduation from our Children!! They deserve a Graduation for there 8 year of Accomplishments!!! And for there memories to take with them thought the years!!! So I hope that you bring back Graduation for our children and the Future Children of Yorkville Middle School
