This is where my sister is buried and it's an absolute disgrace!
My mum and dad look after my sisters grave which is distressing enough as it is let alone dealing with the added stress of overgrown grass
To top it off when the grass gets cut we will be left picking dry grass off the grave
There used to be a full time attendant present and it was kept lovely.
what is it cut backs from the council just because the people in the cemetery are dead!!

Seeing this much support for the cemetery makes me feel like I am finally being heard after months of fighting alone. My heart is heavy with the state of the grounds but knowing you are all behind me gives me the energy to keep pushing the council for answers.

Its a disgrace. My Brother and grandparents are buried there. IThe main gate is locked all the time so my parents cant drive in to tend the graves.
My babies are buried in the cemetery and I feel it is a total lack of respect to all those buried at the cemetery and their families.
My mum's buried there and ts distressing knowing I live 230 miles away and can't get there to keep her grave nice n tidy
It's quite sad to hear that cut backs have been made like these people do not matter just because they are no longer here. I understand some times cut backs are needed but the standard should remain the same.
Years ago the cemetery was kept in a beautiful state by a man called Mario who Kept the cemetery immaculate Council cuts put an end to this. The council should be ashamed of themselves allowing the cemetery to look like a pasture, not a pleasant or peaceful place to visit ....
We pay our taxes for less and less services,whats going on adur councillors are your pockets heavy?,disgraceful,

It is appreciated that there have to be cutbacks but perhaps the Council can look again at this - it does cause distress to family and friends who care that their loved ones are not forgotten.
