Whereas: Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS) is an international professional pharmacy fraternity open to undergraduate and graduate pharmacy students and practicing pharmacists. The Core Values of LKS are: Sisterhood, Leadership, Service, Scholarship and, underlying all Core Values, Integrity.

Whereas: Lambda Kappa Sigma was founded in 1913, becoming the first national professional sorority for women in pharmacy. ETA Chapter, the fifth chapter of LKS, was founded at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science in 1920, the first women's professional sorority at the College.

Whereas: for many decades LKS has been an active part of Student Life at PCPS (University of the Sciences in Philadelphia) offering students an opportunity to participate in social and professional activities, while providing activities to give back to the community.

Whereas: Alumnae of LKS, ETA Chapter have served and continue to serve the College as faculty, staff, Alumni Association officers/members and donors.

Whereas: Alumnae of LKS, ETA Chapter serve the profession of Pharmacy honorably, in a wide variety of practice settings: academia, industry, clinical settings, professional associations, many in positions of leadership; providing role models to current students and offering increased networking opportunities to graduates.

Whereas: Each of us, as Alumnae of LKS, ETA Chapter acknowledge that our sisterhood at PCPS(USP)is one of our fondest memories of our college days, helping to instill in us a sense of responsibility to community, a pride in alma mater and dedication to our profession, while expanding our own personal horizons.

Whereas: We, as alumnae, would want current and future students at the College to have the opportunities we had on campus and upon graduation.

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Administration of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia allow the reactivation of ETA Chapter of Lambda Kappa Sigma at the College.
